Reginal Operations Manager Objective:
Manages production, maintenance and laboratory personnel in coordinating activities of workers engaged in manufacturing, packaging, testing, shipping and maintenance of the processes used to produce the product.
Responsibilities:
Works closely with the EHS Department to ensure all safety rules are followed and that no employee violates any work rule or procedure that may cause harm or damage to them, others or the equipment.
Responsible for the training of new employees in production procedures.
Responsible for supervising production employees; organizing and monitoring their work performance.
Responsible for directing the workload of the maintenance department.
Responsible for directing the workload for the quality department.
Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
Responsible for ensuring that all quality procedures are followed properly and that all production is made to the quality standards in place.
Completes production plan by setting daily objectives and assigning personnel as necessary; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress and revising daily list of objectives as needed; resolving problems as they arise.
Responsible for directing the workload of shipping and receiving department with the ability to fill in as needed.
Completes data entry into various production files.
Understands how to create and maintain the production schedule.
Works closely with Human Resources and assists Reginal Operations Manager in resolution of personnel challenges.
In conjunction with Management participates in CAR reports for ISO.
Works closely with the Reginal Operations Manager to learn the manager's duties and the complete manufacturing operation, packaging, testing and shipping of product and maintenance of equipment, so as to fill in as needed when the Reginal Operations Manager is away.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
High school diploma Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proven work experience as a manufacturing manager Proven ability to create accountability and lead by example Strong aptitude for root cause analysis and troubleshooting operational issues Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and computer technology Five years manufacturing experience with 3 years manufacturing managerial experience.
Forklift experience Previous shipping/receiving experience is desired.
OSHA certification is desired.
Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands Ability to work in temperature-controlled office environment and unconditioned manufacturing environments is required.
Daily essential physical requirements, such as standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, and typing.
Physical effort, lifting up to 50 pounds on occasion.
